Enraizar - Documentary screening

In August 2022, the actresses Nadia Clavel, Natalia Martínez, Verónica Bermúdez and the actor
Carlos Cegarra, participated in Zar Intense, a training and artistic meeting in Wroclaw
(Poland) organized by the Teatr Zar company, at the Grotowski Institute. This event was the beginning of
a collaboration between Teatr Zar (Poland) and Enkidu Teatro (Spain) merging the base of
research into ancestral artistic manifestations of Zar with the gestural theater approach of
Enkidu. Two of the members of Teatr Zar, Aleksandra Kugacz-Semerci and Mertcan Semerci,
They traveled to Spain to join EnraiZar. Once the project started, the actors joined
Samuel Asensio and Gabriel Almagro.

One of the phases of the EnraiZar Project was to carry out an expedition through different cities in
Andalusia, with the intention of investigating the roots of flamenco, in its many
expressions; dance, singing, music, literature, traditions... Upon returning from the expedition, the
the research work, this time from a creative and artistic laboratory, in the space La
Block, in Los Nietos Viejos. Where for 10 days the actors and actresses through the
improvisation, with everything collected during the expedition, they would work on scenic proposals,
generating experimentation and cultural and creative exchange between the two companies.

The documentary accompanies us on the expedition and narrates the experience from the members themselves
who give voice by telling the entire artistic journey from their experience.
