Moving and being moved
(dance and improvisation)

workshop description

MOVING AND BEING MOVED

Content: Addressing the technique / Body awareness / Our own and specific movement / Individual and collective practice.

Methodology: Starting with a deep warm-up, paying special attention to our joints, the clear relationship with the ground and the integration of all parts of the body.

Approach the technique from the knowledge of your own body. Weight, direction, anchors, forces and inertia, as well as the spiral, are concepts that will be present and that will give us clarity to move and express ourselves freely.

We will train ourselves in practices that allow us to create our own specific movements to dialogue with music and space. Tools and proposals that are developed and evolve through individual and collective practice, from perception, listening and one's own intuition; from contact and non-contact, resistance or abandonment, pressures and supports, with lightness and weight, isolating and combining at the same time, moving and letting ourselves move, giving rise to infinite forms and qualities. The idea of a multidirectional, malleable and sensory body that is projected in space, a changing space that fluctuates between one movement and another.

We guide the body to an active and permeable place. Learn to create and collaborate together, traveling between individuality and the group, to be with each other.

Aimed at people who are interested in body and movement work, with or without previous experience in dance.

All bodies will be welcome.
