THE RED NOSE
Creative immersion module

workshop description

Red Nose — The heart as a guide

Module 3 of the Creative Immersion Triptych

Description

There is a mask that doesn't conceal: it reveals. A small, luminous red mark—the red nose—can become the gateway to who we truly are: our vulnerability, our authenticity, and our presence. That nose doesn't hide or disguise: it exposes.

The red nose invites us to accept our deep and imperfect humanity. To surrender that vulnerability to the world, letting it Let our hearts be our guide. It allows us to recognize our sincere and tender truth.

This module invites us to journey toward that erratic, playful, and powerful force that dwells within each of us. Not as a pre-constructed persona, but as a revelation—an existence that emerges from the interplay between body, breath, fall, emotion, error, and... heartbeat.

Methodology and work approach

This module proposes an exploration laboratory where the red nose functions as gateway to imagination, vulnerability, and presenceGuided by the heart. We don't seek to teach clowning or stage techniques, but to activate principles and experiences through discovery exercises:

  • Somatic work to develop our more sensitive and receptive presence.

  • Imaginal activations: exercises that awaken internal images that emerge through play, curiosity, and personal improvisation.

  • Intuitive expression through the visual arts: intuitive drawing and use of creative materials to record perceptions, emotions, and intuitions that arise in the process.

  • Sensitivity and perception: games and activities to refine our listening, attention and relationship with space, with others and with ourselves, connecting with the guidance of the heart.

  • Emotional and relational exploration: activate our inner clown as a mirror of our vulnerability and authenticitywithout trying to construct a specific character or scene.

The goal is to create a safe space for experience, be surprised and discover, a laboratory where creativity, vulnerability and personal poetics emerge, always accompanied by the heart.

Who is it aimed at?

To those who have already completed the two previous modules (Tricksters and Jesters) and who want to delve deeper into exploring their vulnerability, authenticity, and creativity through this tiny mask.

No prior acting experience is required, just curiosity.

Note on the approach

The red nose is not an ornament or a costume. According to the pedagogy of Jacques LecoqIt functions as the “minimal mask” that allows what already exists within each participant to be revealed. This work engages in dialogue with the depth psychology  through working with myths and stories and is inspired by methodologies of Thomas Prattki Centerwhere working with masks and bodies seeks embodied creation and the exploration of personal poetics.
