Youth Territory: Encounter, Movement and Creation

Territorio Joven is a creative laboratory for young people. A safe space where respectful dialogue, play, and art become tools for discussing what matters to us: relationships, identity, territory, coexistence, the future, the environment, technology… We want to create a space where young people can express themselves freely, explore together the issues that affect them, worry them, and also those that fascinate and entertain them. We want to create a space for learning, meeting, and fun.  

Goals

  • Reduce social anxiety, become less inhibited  and improve communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Create a safe space and respect mutual support for everyone. A space where we can speak freely about what matters to us without feeling judged.

  • Exploring our identity: as members of a territory or a social group, and also as free individuals.

  • Know tools for communication our best emotions, our perceptions and our ideas about ourselves, about others, and about the world we live in.

  • Develop a better self-knowledge from the game with others, working with the bodyand the tools of artistic expression.

  • Young people aged 12 to 17 who want to express themselves and explore their creativity.

  • Any young person looking for a safe space to experience, play and connect with others and with oneself.

About Carlos

Carlos Cegarra He is an artist-educator, movement pedagogue and facilitator of creative processes, with a long career that includes working with young people and communities through contemporary performing arts.

He has training as an actor and director. physical and gestural theater, and extensive experience in methodologies based on the body, theatrical play and collective creation, applied to educational, social and community contexts.

He is the founder and director of Enkidu Theater and is part of Enkidu Theatre Association, an entity that works within the framework of the program Erasmus+, participating in European projects of youth cooperation, non-formal education and social inclusion.

It has the Youthpass as recognition of their skills in the field of I work with young people And, during the current year, the association is collaborating with 10 European youth employment organizations in a skills development project for working with young people, with a direct impact on the territory.

For several years he has been promoting projects in rural areas, including La Cuadra, an art and creation center next to the Mar Menor, focused on pedagogical, collective and transformative processes, with attention to the link between body, territory and community.
