The speaking body
(voice anatomy in action)

workshop description

The speaking body

The voice as an intangible act can be complex to use, as well as to understand within the world of artistic creation and expression. However, from a scientific and anatomical point of view there is no doubt. So, what happens when both points of view converge? What happens when I am in a state of total expression of my voice, how can I repeat it again without hurting myself?

In this workshop we will share the functional anatomy of the voice and the understanding process to bring it to the stage in an optimal, flexible, controlled, effortless and of course creative way.

You will be able to solve doubts about your own voice and put it into practice. We will start from theoretical-practical knowledge to later put it into action within the stage movement.

About veronica

Verónica Bermúdez is an actress, teacher, voiceover artist, presenter and vocal coach.

Her concerns as an actress and the vocal limitations she believed she had led her to an exhaustive search and investigation into different interpretive, as well as physical and vocal, methodologies. In this way, she discovered the functional anatomy of the voice and how it interacts with our body and the performative space. This space can be a theatrical, cinematographic, presentation or intimate place in the voice over context and our understanding of the voice is a way of total expression, which starts from knowing the parts of the engine, as well as its multiple possibilities.
